Welcome to Ealing Drum Tuition with Ed Williams
If you’re a complete beginner prepare to become a drummer: within minutes you will be playing drums and shortly after be the proud owner of a tailor-made program of your own choosing focussed around playing songs. For the more accomplished player your sessions will provide a balance of fundamental technique, style studies, co-ordination systems and reading skills.

I am a qualified, working professional drummer with both an Honours degree, a Masters and a PGCert. From playing the live circuit for over 25 years to recording with top artists and producers, I bring extensive industry experience into my teaching.
I cover many styles and levels of playing (beginner, intermediate, advanced) for all ages. There is a huge rise in popularity in learning a musical instrument and drumming is no exception.
I run lessons from my studio in Park Royal where I have two kits set up, so if you don’t have one yet that’s no problem. I also do home visits and offer online/remote lessons so you can keep learning from home.

About Me
Ok, how did I get here? Well, at the age of 12 a series of random events found me in the ‘drums room’ at school and a friend of mine pushed me fairly hard to have a go.
After years of boring piano, violin and a fair amount of tortuous hymn singing I had found my ‘thing’.
In my early 20’s I moved to London where I turned my back on all things heavy and ran towards samba, funk, jazz, and even Ugandan stuff. I also dragged myself through a degree and a masters
I’m now 40 and in all honesty I don’t feel too far away from a great scenario and I’m looking forward to working with new students and projects.
