I offer 121 drum tuition from starter sessions all the way to advanced technique, style studies, co-ordination systems and reading skills.
About Me
At the age of 12 a series of random events found me in the ‘drums room’ at school, and with a fairly hard push from a friend, I had a go. Once I had figured out what I was doing, I was rocking and joined my first band.
After years of trying piano, violin and a fair amount of tortuous hymn singing I had found my ‘thing’ and I was hooked. Years of obsession of learning, playing and creating followed.
Through my teens I joined various bands picking up skills from those around me, recording in studios and doing the usual pub gigs.
I moved to London in my early 20’s where I ran away from the heavy music and towards Samba, funk, jazz and Ugandan pop.
I completed a Bachelor’s degree and Masters at Thames Valley University with a First and Distinction.
In my early 30’s I was becoming a well established teacher and well known for turning up, prepped and on time with a smile on my face.
Now in my 40s (with my own studio, equipped to the nines) I am doing everything I love; teaching, recording, and making new connections with artists and their projects.
This website is here for students, both old and new to connect with me, book lessons and download charts to develop independently.
Why choose me?
I am a qualified and working professional musician with both a Bachelor’s degree and Masters in music and a PGCert. From playing the live circuit for over 25 years to recording with top artists and producers, I bring extensive industry experience into my teaching.
I cover all styles and levels of playing (beginner, intermediate, advanced) for all ages. There is a huge rise in popularity in learning a musical instrument and drumming is no exception.
I offer home visits in West London. If you don’t have your own kit, then you can come to my studio in Park Royal. I also offer online/remote lessons so you can keep learning from home.
